The Bowermans team was on the ground last week in Milan, exploring the latest in global design and connecting with our European partners, including Billiani and Infiniti—each presenting a distinct yet complementary perspective.
The clear and consistent message this year: design continues to move toward solutions that balance longevity, flexibility and real-world performance.
Across Salone del Mobile and the wider city, we saw a shift toward considered, application-driven design, furniture that responds to how spaces are actually used across workplace, hospitality and residential environments.

Billiani focused on evolution rather than reinvention, reinforcing its strength in timber while expanding its offer through softer forms and increased versatility across collections.

The headline release, Bob, introduces a new take on classic seating typologies. Defined by a continuous frame and balanced proportions, the collection extends across chairs, stools and tables—offering a flexible solution for compact and dynamic environments.

The stand placed equal emphasis on range depth:

- Babà Soft continues to evolve with additional lounge and sofa configurations, reinforcing Billiani’s move into more relaxed, hospitality-driven settings

- Cortina and Harry’s extend into lounge typologies, broadening application across waiting areas and breakout spaces

- Updates to existing collections introduce new finishes, materials and configurations, increasing suitability across a wider range of projects

The result is a clearer definition of Billiani’s identity—grounded in craftsmanship, with a growing focus on comfort and relevance across contemporary commercial environments.

Infiniti’s presence centred on flexibility, efficiency and clarity of use, with collections designed to move seamlessly across environments and applications. Industrial precision and adaptability were at the forefront of this year’s releases.

A key highlight was the introduction of Linnéa—a rethinking of the monobloc chair. Balancing structural efficiency with a refined, utilitarian aesthetic, the design offers broad application through its lightweight, stackable and robust nature.

Across the stand, several collections were further developed:

- Volta continues to expand into lounge, sofa and stool formats, supporting collaborative and informal workplace settings

- Diane evolves with applications spanning indoor and outdoor use, reinforcing versatility across environments

- Broader additions across categories highlight a move toward complete, system-based offerings rather than standalone products

This year’s releases reinforce Infiniti’s strength in producing lightweight, adaptable furniture—designed to shift easily across hospitality, workplace and public environments.

Milan Design Week 2026 reinforced several key directions shaping the industry:

Longevity over novelty — products designed to last, both physically and aesthetically
Flexibility and adaptability — collections that respond to multi-use environments
Softening of commercial spaces — increased focus on comfort, upholstery and residential cues
System thinking — brands expanding beyond single pieces into cohesive, scalable ranges

Both Billiani and Infiniti reflect these shifts in different ways, but with a shared outcome: furniture designed for real projects.
At Bowermans, these collections translate directly into solutions for local projects—supporting designers and architects with furniture that balances performance, materiality and design integrity.
