Bowermans is thrilled to announce the arrival of Italian furniture brand Billiani. Founded in 1911, Billiani began as a family-run factory producing curved wood cane chairs. Led by brothers Ottone, Orlando, Lino and Bruno Billiani, a third generation entered the firm in 1986 and Billiani soon became synonymous with high quality, large-scale seating and furniture production.
Wood, the true leitmotif
Towards the end of the 1990s, Luigi Billiani, named after his grandfather and trained as an architect, brought design into the company's repertoire and today Cristina Celestino, a Milan-based architect and designer, is the company's artistic director. Chairs remain a central focus, as does the material: wood, the true leitmotif of the collection.
Artisanal craftsmanship
Manufactured in Italy, Billiani works with a range of Italian and international designers to combine contemporary dialogues with artisanal craftsmanship. From homes and hospitality spaces, to workplaces and the outdoors, Billiani adds style and substance to a variety of contexts.
